Do the terms Medicare, Medicaid, reimbursement sources, or community resources give you a giant headache? If so, be sure to attend The Lowcountry Churches Coalition on Aging presentation by Peggy Hitchcox as she helps us sort through issues involving Medicare, Medicaid as well as advance directives, advanced care planning, assisted living/long term care facilities, home health and other in- home care as well as identifying community resources for dementia, cancer, physical rehabilitation, and reimbursement sources for all of these.
Peggy is a masters prepared social worker who heads the Outpatient Social Work Department at Beaufort Memorial Hospital where she has worked for 25 years. She provides direct services to the Keyserling Cancer Center and the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Memory
Center, co-facilitates the Cancer Support Group, acts as the Facilitator of the BMH Ethics Committee, and serves on many community health and social welfare boards and commissions.
