Nurture Committee
The Nurture Committee provides a Christian caring ministry to our congregation and the community through a variety of meaningful programs designed to share compassion, encouragement, fellowship, and support.
Care Card Ministry
Our Care Card Ministry shares love and encouragement by making and sending cards to church members for birthdays, get well wishes, “miss you” notes, thinking of you messages, congratulations, encouragement, and sympathy. A simple card can brighten someone’s day and remind them they are loved and remembered.
Visitation
We visit those who are hospitalized or recovering from surgery in consultation with the pastor and the individual or their family. We also visit members and friends in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Communion is brought to those who are unable to attend worship and would like to receive it.
Flower Ministry
A beautiful altar each Sunday enhances our worship experience. After Sunday service, altar flowers are shared with members who are ill, recovering, homebound, or simply in need of a little sunshine to brighten their day.
Koinonia Kaps
Koinonia is a Greek word meaning fellowship, sharing, and communion. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month to sew caps for women and children affected by cancer treatment who are experiencing hair loss. Volunteers join as they are able—some stay all day, others for a few hours. The fellowship we share while working together blesses both those receiving the caps and those making them.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This program began in the fall of 2009. Volunteers knit, crochet, and quilt shawls and lap robes for congregation members, family, friends, and others in the community who are going through difficult times. Each item is handmade with prayer from the beginning of the process until it is given to the recipient, providing comfort, warmth, and a reminder of God’s love.
Hospitality
The Hospitality team helps organize fellowship meals after services, Sunday fellowship time before and after worship, and special events and occasions held at the church.
New Member Dinner
This team organizes and hosts our annual New Member Dinner and informational evening to welcome those who have recently joined our church family.
Meals Ministry
Meals are provided to individuals or families who have undergone surgery or are experiencing medical or other difficult circumstances, when requested.
Bereavement Committee
The Bereavement Committee assists families during times of loss by preparing and serving desserts and refreshments following funeral services. The Pastor works with the family to plan the service, and the Director of Music assists with music, streaming, and digital photos as requested.
Forks & Fellowship
This group gathers once a month for a wonderful dining experience and fellowship. It’s a fun way to get to know members of your church family, and the group changes every three months so everyone has a chance to meet new people.

Brothers!
A group of men who meet weekly on Thursdays for Bible study, fellowship, and growing together in faith.
